I’ve got several sketchbooks that I have used for many years now. I just love to paint and draw in them because this is where I can make errors. I have many ideas and some of them are better then others and because of that I think it’s better to draw them up in a sketch book before i go over the larger canvases. I have many times started a larger painting or a drawing with great ambitions ending up with a major flop I didn’t finish. That kind of waste becomes very expensive in the long hal. So, I actually draw and paint more in these books then on the larger canvases. I like the idea of starting something and being able to finished it in one day, or just have the option to close the book and open it again some other time. My own books with small artworks.

I have tried several brands and would love to try many more (I just wish I was rich). When it comes to quality, you get what you pay for. No doubt about it. I use Moleskine when I paint. And I use a other type of Moleskine when I draw with pencils and ink. And I use Strathmores toned sketchbooks when I draw with charcoal and color pencils.

I thought I could show you a small selection of my sketches and ideas. Most of them I have yet to create on larger canvases but I can wait. And don’t you dare think that these books are filled with amazing creations because many of the pages are just flat out embarrassing. That is just a part of the game!
